When you are lazy, especially you get sick and being alone, and also not in mood for cooking… so we all are tying to cook something really fast right? and also we can’t compromise with taste. so lets discuss some really tasty recipes which can be served very quickly…
I cut vegetables (carrot, cucumber, cherry tomato), some bread and eat with hummus + olive oil and red pepper!
Quick, healthy and veryyyyy tastyyyy!
After eating this dish you won’t be lazy anymore! It will give you energy and wonderful mood.
What’s great, is that you may cook hummus by yourself when you have time. It’s very simple:
Fried eggs with pepper.
Slice the peppers and eliminate the pulp (see photo ). Pour a little bit of extra virgin olive oil in a frying pan, place the slices of pepper and blanch them for about 4 minutes. Break one egg into each pepper and cook for a few minutes to your taste. Arrange on a platter, add a pinch of salt, a pinch of nutmeg and a grind of black pepper and serve (sprinkle with a bit of parsley too if you like it and want to enrich its presentation).
Egg Muffins
You read and saw right! These are eggs that are beaten, mixed with chopped vegetables, topped with cheese and baked. This is one of favorite breakfast and snack for all. The wonderful thing about eggs is that there are so many great ways to cook them to suit your taste, as well as to finish up any leftover vegetables you have on hand. Also, the vegetables make them quite filling.
This dish takes about 30 min from start to finish for a family of 4. It’ll take even lesser time if you chop the vegetables the night before and use an electric mixer to quickly stir the eggs. I like to add spinach, onions, tomatoes, capsicums and occasionally mushrooms or olives for added juiciness. For meat loving people, you can also add sausages, ham, even thinly sliced salmon. At my house, we never follow a fixed recipe, but the one found at the link below comes close:
Chow Mein
This is just noodles stir fried with any vegetables and/or meat of your choice. This Indo-Chinese dish requires as many or as few ingredients as you want. And it takes less than 30 minutes to cook. To work faster, you can boil the noodles in the microwave for about 5 minutes. In the meantime you quickly chop up some vegetables and saute them. Mix all the vegetables with drained noodles and toss with the sauce, and you’re done! Adding meat and eggs, will of course need a bit of extra preparation and cooking time.
Pita / Naan Pizza
Naan Pizza is an economical and tasty option that takes only five minutes to make. I love it because it allows you to get as creative as you want, can be a healthy dish depending on the ingredients you choose, and is so simple that it’s hard to go wrong, even when you make larger quantities for friends.
If you’re as lazy as I was as a student, just use ready-made pita bread.
You could also use Naan bread. The thinner the bread the better. Pita bread is lower in calories than your average pizza dough.
Rinse it slightly with water. This will prevent cracking. Then add tomato sauce, followed by mozzarella and/or any other ingredients you like.
To achieve crispiness, cook it in an oven, grill, or use a frying pan with a drop of olive oil and cover it so that your cheese melts on top…
3-4 minutes later, you could get this:
